“My career began as a youth worker, after achieving a professional diploma and degree in Health Psychology and Counselling.
“I started out supporting and counselling young people that were considered hard to reach, and I have also worked in bereavement counselling service, Victim Support and the Witness Service in Preston, Leyland, Chorley and Ormskirk. I have also worked with homeless young people in Blackburn, worked on projects with Hyndburn Borough Council and Lancashire County Council, and have supported families of prisoners and ex-offenders returning to the community with the Prison Service.
“I have been a lecturer in Counselling and Psychotherapy for the past 11 years, and I am passionate about enhancing the prospects of students through personal growth and development. I also run a private practice and I’m a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy.”
