Course overview

This programme is aimed at those looking to build on the skills and knowledge of young children's care that students are most likely to have developed on previous programmes of study. Students will develop a high level of practice in the planning, implementation and evaluation of activities to support children's learning and development within the Early Years. Students will explore and critically debate key policy initiatives which impact directly on practice, while refining and developing observation and research skills.

Students will develop as critically reflective practitioners and become confident in managing their own personal and professional development. The programme will allow students to see their own job role and organisation within the wider early years care and education context.
